Building Embroidery Skills
This is my first attempt at embroidering my own design. As you can see it took some trials and tribulations before I got the design and colors down but right now I’m really enjoying the finished project!
Attempt 1:
Issues: Due to my drawing having lots of tiny details I lost a lot of specs while transferring over to link stitch.
Print:
Issues: I thought this came out well however the loss of details ended up being significant as well as the colors being difficult to see on such a light canvas.
Attempt 2:
Attempt 2: I went back to the drawing board and made some edits to the origial design to get inkstitch to carry over some of the smaller details
Print:
Attempt 2: I went with a darker fabric and truer colors to the original design, and I think this may be a final draft! I really like how it came out
